Each team will be allocated and provided with a 3D context model for one of the 20 equally sized plots shown below. Their task will be to design and engineer the hotels, offices, shops and homes that complete the master plan – in 48 hours. Key details of the design brief are being withheld until six hours before the competition.
Teams will submit fully engineered multi-discipline 3D models, visualisations, movies, analysis and will use the best BIM software from Autodesk, Bentley, Nemetschek, Graphisoft, and RMI EliteCAD plus many more to their fullest potential.

master plan was conceived entirely for the purposes of the Build LONDON Live
2009 AEC competition. Bll2009 aims to showcase how Building Information Modelling
(BIM) can be used in master planning and will be a master class for the processes
involved in making information rich 3D building models. Twenty international
teams of engineers, architects, building services experts & industry professionals
will meet online in December to take part in this extraordinary two day event.
